Reading order?
A lot of people have asked if the A Russian Bear stories are a series. The concise, authoritative answer from the author is: Not really. Still, let me try to guide you through:
The stories featuring Tom and Mischa are Who You Are, A Russian Bear, Of Russian Myth and Lore, Malaria, Cholera, and Bubonic Plague, Happily Ever After and How to Domesticate a Russian Bear. New Year's Resolution and His Something are about Mischa's friend Toby and Toby's hopelessly clumsy bartender Ben.
Andy from Alphabet Soup is a minor character in A Russian Bear as well as in Happily Ever after. But you don't have to read those books to read Alphabet Soup or vice versa. Even though it would be lovely if you did. The short story I Like You is a short sequel to Alphabet Soup, and it's included in the new edition of Alphabet Soup (it was always meant to be the last chapter of the story).
Saturday Night, Live is another spinoff and features Jeff from Alphabet Soup. An Accountant into Kink from the anthology Fifty Gays of Shade features Jase from Saturday Night, Live.
Oh, and then there are the two Himiko books (which have nothing to do with the A Russian Bear universe): They're simply one story which got too long to fit a single book. Don't say I didn't warn you!
