Leather and Newfound Land

Getting a puppy can cause major upheaval, mess, and distraction in your life. Much like getting a boyfriend, come to think about it. And Cliff has to think about it after Mischa (the adorable, but incredibly messy Newfoundland puppy) and Gerard (the equally adorable, but incredibly tidy man) come into his life on the very same day.
It's a case of opposites attracting -- and a puppy making it worse. The dog is wreaking havoc, and in the end, Cliff''s doubting whether he's going to have a boyfriend for much longer. Then a puppy catastrophe leads to the discovery of Gerard's kinky secret, and Cliff realizes that they may be more compatible than he ever thought possible.

Who You Are

First times. Defining moments. The situations where our lives are suddenly turned upside down. Writing Of Russian Myth and Lore, I started thinking about first times. Specifically, one of my all time favorite characters' first time.
This is the result.

New Year's Resolution

Toby wakes up after yet another day spent doing what he does best: Losing himself - in kink, booze, and running his club. This time, though, he might be losing more than just himself.

His Something

Ben is Toby's bartender, and the guy is accident-prone like you wouldn't believe. As a matter of fact, Ben's driving Toby crazy. Not just because Ben gets himself hurt all the time, but because he's there. And Toby can't keep himself from having scenes with him, and he can't keep himself from holding the boy afterwards, either, and thinking about how nice it feels. Even though Ben's his employee and they shouldn't be doing this in the first place.
His Something is a quick look at the event which might change Toby's mind when it comes to Ben - whether Toby wants to admit it or not.

Malaria, Cholera, and Bubonic Plague

This is a short story I wrote when Torquere Press had their Charity Sip Blitz in 2010. The Sip Blitz was a benefit for Doctors Without Borders and so, to keep with the theme, Mischa got sick. And when Mischa gets sick, he really gets sick. In other words, do not read this while you're eating.
If you've read Alphabet Soup, you'll recognize the situation.
Oh, and you can listen to Mischa's favorite song, as well. One of his favorites as well as mine (except for when Mischa sings it).

Of Russian Myth and Lore

Family. In Mischa's opinion, you can't live with them. Period. That's why he's so reluctant to let Tom meet them, but Mischa's family decides that they'd like to meet Tom. And an order is an order.
This is a once in a lifetime chance for Tom to see a Russian bear in its natural environment. Mischa's family seems friendly enough, at least until Mischa's uncle sends Tom out into the woods by himself. In the middle of the night. However, there's more to Mischa's Russian background than Tom knew. In the quiet summer night, Tom learns a thing or two about Russian myth and lore - and about family.

Saturday Night, Live

This is a little something extra featuring Jeff from Alphabet Soup. Sometimes, it's really hard to let go of your characters, and Jeff is one of those guys. He's rude and obnoxious, and I really like him.
The story is a little... hot, so consider yourself warned!

Knowing it by Hart

Brit's
life is exactly how he wants it: neat, ordered, and disciplined, the
way it needs to be if anybody is going to take a thirty-two year old
CEO seriously. If that means being so discreet that you're basically
in the closet, then so be it.
Then, at a charity dinner, he meets the good Mr. Hart. A very drunken Mr. Hart. Who gives Brit the kiss of his life. That's all that happens, of course; Brit has got a reputation to protect. Only, he can't get Mr. Hart out of his head, and he realizes that it might be time to make some changes.
